Bryerley Springs Pony Club

The Pony Club is an international voluntary youth organisation and the largest association of young riders in the world. As an approved Pony Club Centre, we are able to run events, competitions and all activities associated with the Pony Club.

Pony Club Centres give riders who do not have their own horse and liveries & loaners without transport the opportunity to take part in all Pony Club activities, earn badges for their achievements, take tests from beginner level to proficiency and join competitions in various disciplines.

Bryerley Springs affiliated to The Pony Club in 2014 in a bid to fulfil our aim to give young riders the opportunities to compete and partake in a huge variety of fun and educational activities. We are extremely proud that The Pony Club recently acknowledged us as their flagship centre in Area 12.

Since then, many of our members have had the opportunity to represent Bryerley Springs Pony Club Centre at competitions in a variety of disciplines and we are incredibly proud of their achievements: Our quiz team came first in the National Quiz Area 12 Qualifiers and the dressage team won the Area 12 qualifiers and came 5th at the regional Grassroots Championships. There are many teams and individual placings in Showjumping and Hunter Trials, Dressage to Music and Prix Caprilli, as well as the Centre Equitation Competition at the Pony Club Championships.

For the Minis (8 years and under) we aim to run a rally every month or during school holidays, which consist of a fun riding activity, pony care and games.

Juniors (aged 8-13) and Seniors (13 years and over) can join our weekly rallies on Mondays and Thursdays, as well as the sessions in Horsemanship/Stable Management which are held monthly

Our Young Equestrian Group (13 years +) meets fortnightly on Friday evenings for riding, horsemanship and socialising.

During school holidays we organise other fun activities or try new things such as Mounted Games, Polocrosse and Horseball. We also enjoy social outings to HOYS, Olympia, Badminton and many more.

In addition, our members enjoy taking part in our on-site dressage and showjumping shows, gymkhanas, Halloween & Christmas parties, Easter Egg hunts and our popular Pony Club camps in the summer holidays.
